WINDCHIMES

Windmills started the month of February on a musical note. Earlier on random evenings, ’Windchimes’, a group of eager musicians would get together to jam in the  Unwind Cafe. Just impromptu meetings where some would sing, others play the guitar so on and so forth. Basically just a light hearted casual session of music.

Given the great sound system and acoustics that we have in the Rewind theater, Luke came up with the idea of an ‘OpenMike’ session.

No tickets, but it was a ‘House Full’ event. Some  of the known nightingales sang, but we were pleasantly surprised, when more than half of the performers were residents we knew but had no idea that they could either sing or play an instrument so well. A lot of hidden talent was exposed that evening. We hope others who profess to be ‘bathroom singers’ come to the next Open Mike and sing and play for us.
