Earth Day began in 1970 and went global in 1990, mobilizing the involvement of millions in environmental issues. Today marks the anniversary of this largest secular observance in the world. Earth Day is a time to increase awareness and encourage commitment to address the critical issues facing our planet, starting with our own life at home, life in our community, and the life of our planet.
Looking ahead . . . a tree planting initiative is in the offing, in the hope of getting the community together to make our beautiful campus even more green.
