This October the Pet Habitat Committee organised a dog fashion show along with services such as veterinary, pet geographical relocation, and food.  This event was held at the dog park with booths set up for the vendors. 

The fashion show was definitely the highlight of the evening with 20+ entries. The pet parents went to great lengths to dress the doggies up in different costumes.  Kaju’s mom Nitya recited a lovely poem about her daily experiences at the dog park.

There was a catwalk (or dogwalk) with a panel of judges who debated, scored, and awarded prizes to the pups who brought the most to the runway:

3rd prize to Poochams (Kristin)

There were food and supply stalls for the pets. Credit to Craftworks who helped out with treats for the pets as well as for children. Complimentary massages were enjoyed by several dogs. The event was well attended and the kids had a good time watching their pets parade.

The Pet Habitat Committee strives to enhance safety and the well being of pets and residents alike. Through events such as this, the Committee raises funds to organise more events and keep the interest going. The volunteers, both children and adults, do a lot of work and the results are plain to see. We wish them all the best in their endeavours.
