IFTAAR DINNER

Windmillers were introduced to all the trappings of IFTAAR the fast-breaking evening meal during the month of Ramadan. Ghazala, Zibi, Shalini and Kavitha set up the evening in the most authentic manner. Zibi's explanation of the meaning of the Holy Month, customs and traditions was insightful.

The club house looked surreal. ‘Less is more’ conveyed in a very elegant manner by the team - Prema, Latha, Malathi, Sunitha and the 4 Ks…Kajal, Komal, Krishnaveni, Kavitha. It took a lot of effort and planning to get everything together. The props and lighting were undertaken by the electrician, carpenters and housekeeping staff & PMD under the guidance and supervision of the Decor Team.

The iftaar was quite a spread of delectable vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, sherbet and matka phirni to top the meal. Paan was the icing on the cake...excuse the wrong metaphor!!  :)

Mogras and roses everywhere lent a gentle fragrance, customary attar was dabbed on the wrists of the guests, and ground seating created the perfect atmosphere for the ‘mehfil’, an indoor gathering when Nived, Meenakshi, Puneet, Sakshi, Roopal, Bhagya and Deepa sang a mixture of genres.

All in all the evening was a transportation into a typical Ramadan evening Iftaar.
