CAMP-OUT 2025

Once again it was ‘that’ time of the year which the whole community looks forward to. 

Yes, the annual camp out!!

 

While the tents were being pitched by the children assisted by their dads,  the toddlers had a riot in their secluded area of the lawn.  Fun and camping fervor filled the air.  At sunset the little ones headed homeward while the bbq was being set up. 

 

Soon the ladies bought forth an elaborate spread of  starters,  homemade specialties and an array of marinated food all ready to be  grilled. The layout was perfect, queues were orderly and the menu was just right. It was a treat of delicious campout flavors and a celebration of community spirit.

 

Once everyone had their fill the focus shifted to a stage that was set up in one corner of the central lawn. The evening came alive with an exceptional display of talent. From stand-up comedy to song and dance, the children  were encouraged with enthusiastic cheering from the audience.  Then the grown ups mustered up a rollicking finale with a song about life in Windmills set to a popular tune of yore, and, an enactment of a medley of Bollywood songs. Very sporting and a lot of fun for the performers and audience alike.  

 

Then the community gathered around watch the bonfire and line up for s’mores.  After a fun-filled evening everyone sat down on the lawns to watch the screening of   The Wild Robot. 

 

While the kids crawled into their tents the rest of us returned home content  and happy to see the community come together, give of their time and talent to  make such a success of the evening. 

 

We look forward to the same fun next year.
